Job summary

A major financial institution in Putrajaya is seeking a full-time Operations Associate to support client onboarding and maintain compliance with KYC/AML processes. Candidates should have a degree and at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial operations. The role involves developing operations controls and providing expertise to internal clients, with opportunities to work in a dynamic, global environment. Flexibility to adapt to shifts is necessary according to the 24/5 business model.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years experience in AML & CLMG-KYC Operations within a financial institution.
  • Good understanding of AML & CLMG-KYC operations and related regulatory requirements.
  • Sound capital markets product knowledge and regulatory requirements governing KYC/AML.
  • Previous account opening/settlement instructions maintenance experience.
  • Ability to adapt to shift work supporting a 24/5 global business model.

Job Description
  • Support timely onboarding and maintenance of all clients across all relevant platforms while maintaining data integrity.
  • Create and maintain client reference data and ensure consistent, controlled database.
  • Maintain strong understanding of KYC/AML processes and work with CLMG teams for continuous improvement of procedures.
  • Assist integration into local operations model and the global “follow the sun” support model; provide end‑of‑day handover.
  • Develop and document operations controls and work processes; identify root causes of CLMG‑KYC operations problems and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise to internal clients, development groups, and Operations Engineering; conduct UAT testing for application enhancements.
  • Produce weekly MI reporting, analyze data, keep up to date with industry standards, and maintain relationships with key departments.

  • Good understanding of AML & CLMG‑KYC operations and related regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to adapt to shift work supporting a 24/5 global business model (Asian time zone, Sydney start of day).
  • Experience covering public holidays for APAC regions when required.
