Junior Site Safety Supervisor - Johor Bahru

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team at DONG JI (M) SDN. BHD in Johor Bahru area. As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and execution of construction projects. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career growth and development.

What you’ll be doing

• Supervises daily safety activities at project site.
• Conduct routine inspections of work areas, machinery, tools, and safety equipment.
• Identify unsafe conditions and practices; propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety inductions for all workers and subcontractors.
• Educate workers on safe work practices, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and emergency procedures.
• Ensure new workers undergo site-specific safety induction.
• Ensure that all accidents are reported, documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Maintain safety records including inspection checklists, PPE inventory, attendance, permits‑to‑work (PTW), and daily safety reports.
• Submit weekly/monthly safety performance reports to the Project Manager.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities (eg. DOSH, CIDB, JKKP) on safety‑related matters.
• Stop unsafe work activities immediately and report to the management.

Qualification & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Certificate recognized by DOSH Malaysia(Yellow Book).
• Minimum 1-2years site safety experience (construction).
• Familiarity with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, CIDB requirements, and other relevant regulations.
• Able to conduct safety trainings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

Preferred:

• First Aid certification.
• Good communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 (OHSMS) standards.
• Ability to work in challenging site environments and long hours when required.
