We are searching for a motivated Junior AWS SysOps Engineer who is passionate about delivering unshakable system reliability and performance for our web applications. You will assist in cloud infrastructure management, handling routine incidents, application deployment, ensuring security best practices and maintaining internal documentations. Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor system health dashboards (using tools like AWS CloudWatch or Grafana). You will be the first line of defense in identifying alerts and anomalies.
- Perform initial troubleshooting on server performance, connectivity, or application issues before escalating complex problems to Senior Engineers.
- Assist with user access management (IAM), routine OS patching, and verifying that automated backups are running successfully.
- Perform application deployment using Ansible.
- Perform infrastructure deployment using Terraform.
- Work alongside Senior Engineers to maintain and improve Terraform & Ansible template, and security hardening.
- Periodically perform annual Disaster Recovery Testing.
- Ensuring internal documentations are up‑to‑date.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or a relevant internship. (Fresh graduates with strong personal cloud projects are also encouraged to apply).
- Have a solid conceptual understanding and hands‑on experience of core AWS services, Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat).
- Basic understanding of DNS services.
- Basic understanding of Terraform (nice to have: hands‑on experience in Terraform).
- Basic understanding of Ansible (nice to have: hands‑on experience in Terraform).
- Basic understanding of Docker containerization.
- A self‑starter who loves “figuring things out.” You ask questions when you are stuck but try to research the solution first.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic DevOps practices.
- Awareness of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).
