Job summary

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated IT support technician to troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, and provide technical assistance. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in IT or related fields, along with a good understanding of SQL databases and network configurations. You will collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to support continuous improvements. This role offers flexibility in location around Johor Bahru or Pasir Gudang.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in IT support or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of handling SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of PLCs and industrial networking is a plus.
• Ability to write and communicate in English and Malay.

Job description

Support the troubleshoot computer hardware and software (Windows OS, microsoft office, Server HP / Dell / Lenovo, and Network Configuration (HP aruba))

Perform network troubleshoot, maintenance and minor installation / Perform Installation, Configuration & Troubleshooting Hardware (server, computer, network) & Software.

Providing technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for end-users

Managing user account management, system monitoring and security updates (antivirus, patches),

Creating IT documentation to ensure smooth operations and user productivity.

Repairing or replacing damaged hardware and ensuring intellectual property of company is protected

Manufacturing & Operations Support: Collaborate with manufacturing / quality / engineering teams, translate production requirements into MES configurations, support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives and provide on-call or production support when required

Job Requirements

• Candidate must at least possess a Certificate/Diploma in IT Computer & Network, Electrical / Electronic or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in related field is required for this position. However, Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in handling SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Automation & Controls (Preference will be given to those with such experience)
• Basic understanding of PLCs (Siemens, LS, FUJI, etc.) and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
• Good practical & technical skills
• Computer literate and able to write and communicate in English and Malay.
• Good attitude, positive minded, self-starter, self-motivated person, independent and good teamwork.
• Has own transport and is flexible to work in Johor Bahru or Pasir Gudang
