We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver IT projects for a leading banking company. The role is responsible for managing projects end-to-end—from initiation to completion—ensuring delivery on time, within scope, budget, and in compliance with the Bank’s IT governance and SDLC standards. Strong stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and risk management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full IT project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets with business and IT stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate internal/external resources and vendors
- Track project progress, manage risks/issues, and implement mitigation plans
- Control project scope, schedule, cost, and change management
- Ensure compliance with Bank IT governance, SDLC, risk, and audit requirements
- Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and documentation
- Manage project budgets, resource utilization, and vendor performance
- Ensure complete and accurate project documentation with proper sign-offs
- Support Cards / Payments related application projects and enhancements
Required Experience and Background
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager delivering medium to large-scale IT projects
- Banking experience preferred; FinTech or Insurance experience acceptable
- Experience managing Cards applications / Payments projects is highly desirable
- Experience working with external vendors and third-party service providers
- Stable career history (not frequent short-term contractual roles)
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field
Certifications (Preferred)
- PMP or PRINCE2
- ITIL Foundation (added advantage)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, SDLC, infrastructure, and integration concepts
- Hands‑on experience with project management tools: JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or equivalent
- Good understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent planning, organization, and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong risk and issue management capabilities
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
