Job description

Responsibility

1. Manage Alibaba Malaysia critical Data Center operations, Asset and Security operations, Data Center build-outs and scaling.

2. Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs.

3. Coordinate external vendors, ensure the resource’s supply and delivery, match business’s growth.

4. Responsibility for outsourcing and vendor management of colocation Data Centre services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA’s.

5. Knowledge of 24x7 onsite support procedure, continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering or computer science

2. 5+ years experience in large global data center site operation

3. Functional knowledge of Data Center mechanical, electrical, and controls systems

4. Deep knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as computer server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, technologies and architectures, IT service delivery principles and best practices.

5. Highly driven, self-managed individual. Greatly developed problem analysis and critical thinking experience.

6. Knowledge of data center construction procedure and capacity planning

7. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25% to 50%+ at times)

8. Must be familiar with Excel and PowerPoint

9. Language proficiency in Chinese and English is required as the role need to coordinate with the HQ in China.
