IT Lecturer (Artificial Intelligence) (60133)

Sunway Diploma Studies (SDS) at Sunway College (KL) is seeking a qualified IT Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops.
• Plan lessons and develop relevant teaching materials.
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and career support to students.
• Design, assess, and provide feedback on assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and extracurricular activities.
• Represent the institution at education fairs and promotional events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching quality and student outcomes.
• Support academic administration, including attendance, invigilation, and course reviews.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or an equivalent professional qualification recognised as comparable to a Master’s level.
• Strong skills and experience in Programming: Python, R, Java, C++.
• Machine Learning & Deep Learning: Model development using techniques such as Linear Regression, KNN, Naïve Bayes, SVM, CNN, RNN, and GAN.
• Big Data & AI Platforms: Apache Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, MongoDB, cloud and edge AI platforms.
• Generative AI and modern AI tools.
• Minimum three (3) years of teaching or relevant industry experience.
• Passion for teaching and a strong commitment to delivering quality education.
• Experience in developing teaching materials and using digital tools to enhance learning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
