Job Summary
The IT Executive will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the groups websites and online platforms. This role supports ferry ticketing systems, jetty information portals, logistics tracking software, and telco service sites. The IT Executive ensures websites are secure, user-friendly, optimized for performance, and aligned with the companys digital transformation goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and microsites (corporate, ticketing, logistics, telco).
- Implement and manage CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or Headless CMS).
- Build and maintain frontend components using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt).
- Support backend integrations (Node.js/PHP/Laravel) with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Integrate websites with payment gateways, ticketing systems, and logistics tracking portals.
- Ensure website security, backups, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
- Monitor website performance, SEO health, and implement technical optimizations.
- Manage hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, and work with vendors on system upgrades.
- Implement analytics (GA4, GTM) and report on website traffic, conversions, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Operations, Logistics, PR, Telco divisions) to deliver digital solutions.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in web development (portfolio required).
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end website projects.
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (Tailwind/Sass), JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience with frontend frameworks such as React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt.
- Basic backend skills: Node.js or PHP/Laravel, API integration (REST/GraphQL).
- Database knowledge: MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Hosting/cloud management (AWS, GCP, Azure) including SSL, DNS, CDN.
- Strong grasp of website performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse).
- Understanding of web security best practices (OWASP, PCI-DSS).
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- CMS experience (WordPress, Strapi, or other Headless CMS).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools (GA4, GTM).
- Integration with payment gateways, CRM/ERP systems, or ticketing platforms.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Basic UI/UX knowledge (Figma/Adobe XD)
