Job summary

A design consultancy firm in Puchong is urgently hiring an Exhibition & Interior Designer. This role requires managing design projects, collaborating with teams, and ensuring site inspections are carried out effectively. Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design, have 3-4 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in various CAD software packages. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Work together with project teams for design direction.
  • Responsible for translating design concepts into design details.
  • Must be able to deliver Concept and Schematic Design as well as DD and Tender Documentation.
  • Strong in space planning and concept development to meet client’s requirements.
  • Responsible for managing all design related aspects – conceptual drawings, space planning, detail drawings and presentation drawings.
  • Prepare materials for presentation with good presentation skill.
  • To coordinate among the contractors, relevant design consultants and subcontractors.
  • To develop design solutions with efficient and functional use of space.
  • To monitor and follow up on progress of work at site.
  • To manage project costing as well as preparation of project quotation.
Requirements
  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
  • At least 3 – 4 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Required skills: AutoCad, 3D Max, Vray, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, AdobeIllustrator, Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint.
  • Site experience is essential. Responsible for undertaking site inspections and giving solutions on site to ensure smooth process of Fit-out Coordination works with contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants till project handover.
  • Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to meet deadlines and maintain a consistent high standard of work, have strong commitment, responsible and self-motivated.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and possess good interpersonal skills with proactive approach.
  • Experience in F&B and commercial projects will be an added advantage.
  • Must possess own transport.
