Job summary

A terminal facility in Kota Tinggi is seeking an Engineering professional to support operations and lead preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, 3-5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, and familiarity with DCS systems. Job description

To support and troubleshoot operation in DCS EMERSON DELTA Vsystem, MOV Packscansystem, EmersonTank Radar and operational automation/instrumentation.

Co-ordinates activities with all stakeholders to facilitate participation of appropriate staff whilst ensuring departmental operating efficiency.

To lead Preventative Maintenance and deliver completion KPI for instrumentation.

To ensure PM/CM work is carried out safely and as per required scope by internal and external resources.

Prepares technical specifications/user requirement for internal and contracted engineering work such as improvement, modifications, expansions or installation of terminal facilities and utilities system.

Contributes to successful work completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of material, and difficult co-ordination requirements as per VOPAK standard/repeatable formula.

To manage vendor resources and other site planning.

Follow-up to update all necessary items in project MOC (documentation/training and warranty).

  • IT skills critical in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and knowledge in writing technical report.
  • Possess good leadership skill, pro‑active, able to work independently and have self‑confidence.
  • Ability to relate well with people, good team players.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of making decision and solving issue.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering preferred (Instruments).
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience in oil & gas industry and Oil Terminals.
  • Preferable to have project management and/or equipment maintenance experience in DCS, Motor Operated Valves, Radar Level transmitters.
  • Familiar with IECEx and Engineering standards (IEC), NFPA.
