Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our Enterprise IT team. You will be the frontline for technical support, resolving daily operational issues while managing and optimizing our core IT infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
End-User & Office Support:
- Provide first‑level IT support to office‑based, field, and remote employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and telephony issues (desktops, printers, IP phones, etc.).
- Manage user accounts, IT assets, and deploy software/OS images using distribution tools.
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles to improve team efficiency.
- Provide on‑site IT support for meetings and corporate events.
Infrastructure Operations:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server (2016+) and Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Support core infrastructure services: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for task automation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backup systems (e.g., Veritas) to ensure data integrity.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, WAPs, VPNs).
- Adhere to ITIL‑based change and access management procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise IT support, with expertise in Windows and network infrastructure.
- Required Technical Proficiency:
- Windows Server 2016+, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI.
- Core networking: TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, VPN (IPSec/SSL).
- PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware).
- Preferred Skills/Certifications:
- Microsoft MCITP, VMware VCP, or CCNP certification.
- Experience with O365/Azure, SCCM, Exchange, and SD‑WAN.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other corporate offices.
