A chemical manufacturing company located in Kapar, Malaysia, is looking for an IMS & HSE Executive to ensure compliance with regulations and promote safety and environmental responsibility within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in regulatory compliance and strong communication skills. This role involves managing documentation, coordinating compliance awareness, and liaising with regulatory authorities, while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.

IMS (Integrated Management System) & HSE Executive - Chemicals Industry

The primary responsibility is to provide professional regulatory advice and guidelines to company personnel, sales teams and support staff to ensure regulatory compliance within the chemical industry.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure all business activities comply with applicable local laws and regulatory requirements, and remain up to date with regulatory changes.
  • Lead and coordinate regulatory compliance awareness across all departments, aligning activities with regulatory objectives.
  • Update, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of Material Master documentation.
  • Ensure all products are distributed in compliance with regulations related to product safety, environmental protection, and occupational health.
  • Establish and maintain regulatory requirements for labeling, storage, and packaging.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, prepare submissions, and manage required documentation.
  • Provide regulatory compliance support to the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Lead, oversee, and manage the company’s ISO compliance and certification requirements.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility, ensuring adherence to EHS regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and identify best practices.
Requirements
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a Science‑related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Candidates with experience in regulatory compliance and effective document control, able to multitask in a results‑oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and ISO procedures.
  • Strong communication and training facilitation ability.
  • Positive, polite, and cheerful demeanor.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of regulatory procedures and guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Experience with ISO and EHS management systems is an added advantage.
