Implementation & Technical Engineer (Medical IT Solutions)

The Implementation and Technical Engineer plays a hybrid role encompassing both project execution and technical support responsibilities. This position is vital in deploying, integrating, supporting, and maintaining FUJIFILM’s Synapse† Enterprise Imaging and other healthcare informatics solutions. The engineer will manage technical deployments, handle infrastructure setups, resolve complex system issues, and work collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and long-term system performance.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. System Deployment & Integration:
    • Lead and support the installation and configuration of Synapse† Enterprise Imaging systems, including PACS, VNA, and 3D modules, at customer sites.
    • Implement hardware infrastructure (servers, storage, networking) and software components, ensuring compatibility with HIS/RIS and other clinical systems.
    • Configure systems to meet healthcare data security, redundancy, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  2. Technical Support & Maintenance:
    • Provide Tier 1/2 on-site and remote technical support during and post-deployment phases.
    • Perform preventive maintenance and health checks on systems to ensure optimal uptime.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving DICOM, HL7, network, and system performance.
  3. Client Engagement & Customization:
    • Engage directly with clients to gather technical requirements and translate them into effective configurations and solutions.
    • Customize systems to meet clinical workflow and compliance needs based on site‑specific requirements.
  4. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, deployments, system changes, and support logs.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, user guides, and support manuals.
    • Support technical reporting for compliance audits, project reviews, and service‑level agreements.
    • Stay up to date on Fujifilm Synapse† technologies, DICOM/HL7 standards, cybersecurity best practices, and healthcare informatics trends.
    • Participate in product and technical training sessions and support internal knowledge‑sharing.
Job Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years working experience in healthcare IT systems, with hands‑on experience in IT projects management, system implementation, technical support, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of PACS/RIS/VNA systems and clinical workflow integration.
  • Proficient in server administration, storage solutions, and VMware.
  • Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards.
  • Candidates with strong IT working experience but no exposure in the healthcare industry are also welcome to apply.
