Job summary

A leading telecommunications firm located in Sepang, Selangor, is seeking a skilled individual to manage on-site construction activities for Data Center low voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher in Electrical or related fields and a minimum of 3 years of experience in ELV systems or data center projects. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, with a preference for Mandarin-speaking applicants to liaise with clients. This role demands good technical understanding and site management skills.

Job description

Yongpeng Telecom Technology – Sepang, Selangor

• Manage on-site construction activities for Data Center low voltage (ELV) systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
• Implement construction schedules and instructions issued by the Project Manager / Engineering Manager
• Assist in preparing weekly ELV work plans, monitor site progress and report actual completion status, coordinate subcontractors, system vendors, and commissioning teams
• Responsible for on-site execution and coordination of the following IDC ELV systems: Structured Cabling System (fiber optic & copper cabling, rack cabling); BMS / DCIM systems (field devices installation, cabling, integration support); Security Systems: CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm; Environmental Monitoring Systems (temperature, humidity, water leakage, smoke interface); Fire Alarm ELV interfaces and signal coordination
• Drawings & Technical Coordination, ensure site installation matches approved drawings and labeling standards
• Supervise ELV installation quality to comply with project specifications, international standards, and data center requirements, control critical workmanship such as fiber bending radius, cable termination, labeling, grounding, and equipment mounting
• Maintain daily site records and construction logs, support preparation of ELV as-built drawings, test reports, and handover documents, report site issues, risks, and progress to the Engineering / Project Manager

Job Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation, or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ELV systems or data center projects
• Familiar with data center ELV architecture and construction workflow
• Ability to read and understand ELV drawings and English technical documents
• Good coordination, communication, and site execution skills
• Willing to work on a project-based / site-based arrangement
• Preferred Experience in Data Center projects
• Mandarin speaking candidates are preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
