A leading hotel management company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned HR Manager to oversee HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, at least 8 years of experience in the hotel industry, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Familiarity with Mandarin is preferred to engage with Mandarin-speaking clients. This role includes responsibilities such as employee engagement, compliance with HR policies, and collaboration with department heads. A competitive salary package is offered.
Responsible as the primary point of contact for all HR matters and HR Operations.
Involved in various practice areas within Human Resources i.e., employee engagement, compensation & benefits, performance management, industrial relations, talent acquisition, training & development & etc.
Discuss and advise hotel management with the General Manager of the hotels, and with all department heads.
Collaborating/working closely with Department Heads to assess/anticipate human resource‑related needs to develop programs and solutions.
Have market intel of what current happenings are at other hotels.
Leading and supporting the employee engagement programs/social events that foster and promote a culture of excellence.
Responsible for evaluating employee programs, recommending improvements to employee relations policies to ensure compliance with internal and the federal/state authority requirements.
Work with Group HR team to execute HR operational support including payroll, people mobility related work etc.
Handling staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures.
Providing support in the other areas of human resources when required and to assist in ad‑hoc projects/tasks where necessary.
