Job description

This position reports to the President / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Focus Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd.

Essential Job Functions

The role would require Human Resource (HR) to provide strategic direction on in-house HR function and also collaborate with the business partners / stakeholders across the country in delivering real time business requirements such as recruitment, resourcing, payroll, training, reviewing compensation and supporting the Group’s expansion programme.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for setting the direction for the HR department’s strategies, administration and evaluation of performance.

Essential Expectations of this role
  • Workforce planning and developing annual budgets.
  • Developing and fine-tuning recruitment processes and strategies to assist the company in meeting recruitment targets and upskilling HR team and business partners in competency-based interviews.
  • Posses fair understanding of compensation and benefits and how it can be utilized as an attractive attraction and retention tool. Keen to learn on the job especially about compensation in a retail environment.
  • Posses good attention to detail so that payroll services meet turnaround time.
  • Fair understanding of local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting the CEO in establishing a robust performance management system and clear KPIs so that the business is on track.
  • Work with business partners to roll out technical training.
  • Has prior experience in serving as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) capacity and able to work closely with senior management in driving the company’s vision.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies / Administration / Management or its equivalent. Certification in HR studies with professional bodies would be advantageous, ie. SHRM, CIPD.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 year(s) working experience preferably in retail industry/or a relevant sector.
  • Has past experience managing a team.
  • Have held a steady role in current job and is keen to move on to a more competitive environment.
