Job description

As the Human Resources Executive/Senior Executive (specializing in Learning & Development) at Bank of China (M) Berhad, you will play a key role in supporting the human resources functions, covering learning & development needs. This full‑time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur head office and you will have the opportunity to work with our Hong Kong counterparts on operational matters too.

Responsibilities
  • Handle the full spectrum of employee Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives, including internal, external (banking related professional certification courses), and regional training programs implemented by BOC Hong Kong and BOC Group.
  • Conduct analysis on training needs and effectiveness evaluations; identify and implement learning solutions; maintain accurate training records and reports; monitor and track budgets; and oversee day‑to‑day training operations, including processing staff training related claims.
  • Oversee the application, processing, and reimbursement of training funds from regulators, including HRDF and BNM’s Staff Training Fund.
  • Take part in talent management and succession planning initiatives to support organizational growth and capability development.
  • Assist in driving employee engagement initiatives, including team‑building activities, annual dinner, ESG initiatives and other bank‑wide events.
  • Ensure proper HR documentation and processing complies with internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements; coordinate with relevant stakeholders on HR system maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and enhancements; address employee queries and provide administrative support to ensure effective HR operations.
Requirements
  • Degree holder or above with a major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 1‑3 years of working experience preferred; fresh graduates with part‑time experience are welcomed.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive working attitude; strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin preferred.
