A diplomatic institution in Malaysia seeks a Human Resources Specialist responsible for managing HR tasks, including preparing diplomatic notes, processing visas, and overseeing health insurance programs. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience in HR and Visa processing. Strong customer service and knowledge of MS Office are essential skills. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Position is responsible for incoming and outgoing American personnel. Duties include the preparation of diplomatic notes for accreditation, visas, host government ID cards, and processing of applications for domestic helpers; handles all aspects of the check-in and checkout process for USDH; updating the Arrivals and Departures List; preparation of the welcome packets for incoming American personnel; preparing the full range of TM cables; and updating Web Overseas Personnel System (OPS). Responsible for the administration of the Health and Life Insurance programs. The Human Resources Specialist directly supervises incumbent.
Education: Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources and Visa processing work is required.
Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia Level 3 - Good Working Knowledge; written/spoken, including the ability to translate (this may be tested).
Skills and Abilities: Must be customer service oriented, tactful, and pleasant in dealing with American and local employees and Malaysian government officials. Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and other HR software applications are required.
