Qualifications

  • Good understanding of ISO management systems.

This position is responsible for supervising and assisting the HSE Lead in planning and directing the HSE functions on a day-to-day basis. The incumbent is to implement HSE rules and regulations based on RHO and country’s requirements to ensure delivery of service levels are compliant with company and customer.

  • To observe and monitor overall HSE activities at Schenker warehouse.
  • To ensure workers comply with overall HSE regulations and requirements, port authority’s rules and regulations and requirements, local authorities, and national legal requirement.
  • To observe department at site level, comply with ISO45001:2018 and ISO14001:2015.
  • To observe all departments at site level complies with Dangerous Goods (DG) rules and regulations in accordance with international DGR, IATA & IMDG Code.
  • To plan and organise ESH events at site level, including Safety & Health Committee Meeting, Fire Drill, etc.
  • To review and update HIRARC at site level during quarterly Health & Safety Committee Meetings, in the event of a new/change in process, new customer, incident/accident.
  • To perform Monthly Inspections and Internal Audits as and when required.
  • To perform CIMAH, DOSH, DOE audits time to time, as and when required.
  • Ensure adequate Personal Protective Equipment are issued to workers by the respective departments.
  • To report out all incident/accident using eHSSE app immediately and HSE incident report within 24 hours to QESH Department.
  • Any accident/incident including near miss and hazards shall be reported on the eHSSE app and to QESH Management.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain HSE documentation, SOPs are always available on site for any references.
  • Evaluate and maintain service performance level for vendors ensuring all vendors comply with Scope of Work (SOW) provided.
  • Ensuring all workers are competent and new staff are trained prior to performing task.
  • To instil Incident Free environment and culture to the staff.
  • To receive and act on any other instructions from the QESH Management.
  • To source for Safety, Health, and Environmental related vendors assisting other departments.
  • To assist QESH Management as company HSE supervisor in all matters relating to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Diploma in Health & Safety preferred
  • SHO Certificate – Professional Certificate (Completed and passed all 4 papers) required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same field, any industry
  • Knowledge of local laws: OSHA, FMA, CIMAH, DOSH, DOE
  • Good understanding of ISO management systems
  • Familiar with DG regulations
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Good observation skills for safety inspections
  • Communication skills (for training staff and leading safety activities)
  • Computer skills — especially reporting apps like eHSSE
