The HR Manager is responsible for driving strategic human resource initiatives across training and development, succession planning, performance management, and HR governance. This role oversees structured learning programs, talent and succession frameworks, KPI-based performance management systems, and ensures full compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements. Acting as a strategic partner to leadership, the HR Manager also serves as an internal trainer, supports workforce planning, and delivers data‑driven HR solutions to enhance organizational performance and talent sustainability.
Job Responsibilities
1. Training & Development
- Conduct training needs analysis and create a structured annual training plan.
- Develop and manage learning programs to address competency gaps.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and ROI.
- Oversee the end-to-end Protege Program lifecycle.
2. Succession Planning
- Design and implement talent and succession planning frameworks.
- Identify critical roles and high‑potential talent pipelines.
- Facilitate talent reviews and career development plans.
3. Performance Management
- Develop division KPI and individual KPI for the company.
- Design and implement a structured performance management system (PMS) that aligns employee goals with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate performance appraisal cycles, including goal setting, mid‑year reviews, and annual evaluations.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including OSHA, EA 1955, IR Act, etc.
- Manage HR audits and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Strategic HR Management
- Align HR strategies with organizational goals to drive business performance.
- Partner with leadership to identify HR priorities and recommend data‑driven solutions.
- Lead strategic workforce planning and change management initiatives.
6. Ad-Hoc Tasks
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks if required by the Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Certified and experienced Internal Trainer, with proven capability in conducting in‑house training programs.
- Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing performance management and KPI frameworks.
- Professional HR certifications are an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices.
