A leading agricultural firm in Johor Bahru seeks an experienced individual to manage foreign worker issues and recruitment processes. This role involves overseeing compliance with immigration regulations, managing accommodations, and coordinating recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Resources or a related field and strong communication skills. Experience in foreign worker management is essential. To position reports to the Head of the Recruitment & Foreign Worker Management Section in the HR department.
Oversee the full spectrum of foreign workers-related matters at Site from Managing workers' issue, accommodations, Inventory and Supply Management for Foreign Workers - responsibility of managing and distributing supplies and equipment effectively.
Oversee the full spectrum of foreign workers-related matters from quota application, government agencies’ approvals, and foreign worker arrivals to onboarding including accommodation in the company accommodation.
Ensure full compliance with policies and procedures with regards to foreign workers issues and statutory requirements.
To be one of the company’s main liaisons between Immigration, JTK and other related government agencies on foreign workers work permit renewal, FOMEMA, renewals of work permits, insurance etc.
Responsible in ensuring the work permit/ employment pass, visa application, special pass, and check-out memo for the foreign workers are active and liaise with immigration officers.
Timely submission of the police report for runaway foreign worker and document preparation as required by Immigration for cancellation of working permit.
Handling all matters related to workers’ accommodation, the long house inspection and other hostel-related matters in compliance with Workers.
Involved in the management of foreign workers such as disciplinary issues, compliance and audit, medical check-up, treatments, etc.
Coordination of levy refund, insurance claims and any other claims related to foreign workers.
To register/ renew/ terminate Foreign Workers Compensation Scheme (FWCS).
Timely submission /permit renewal of foreign workers.
Advertisement and Interview Coordination with HODV.
Managing sourcing, selection, and recruitment efforts to meet operational manpower needs.
Advertising in various recruitment channels such as job boards, careers pages, social media platforms, and professional networking sites to attract potential candidates.
Source and screen resumes and applications to identify potential candidates that meet the job requirements.
Conduct background checks and employment verifications to ensure that potential candidates meet our company's standards and requirements.
Manage schedules, calendars, and appointments for candidates and new joiners.
Participation in and hosting recruitment events and participating in job fairs.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide regular updates on the recruitment process.
Manage the recruitment database and keep accurate records of candidate information and recruitment activities.
Work independently and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and potential candidates.
Coordinate the preparation of regularly scheduled reports or any ad-hoc reports as and when required by Superior from time to time.
Provide necessary support to HR & Admin Division as deemed necessary.
