Job Description
- Develop and implement strategic plans for project management, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.
- Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project milestones and objectives effectively.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial performance meets or exceeds established targets.
- Conduct regular reviews of project profitability, cash flow, and financial performance, and implement strategies to optimize returns.
- Ensure all necessary authority approvals are obtained, maintaining strong relationships with relevant government ministries and agencies.
- Establish and enforce quality standards across all projects.
- Identify, address, and resolve project-related defects and issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and safeguard the company’s reputation.
- Foster continuous improvement by benchmarking best practices in property development and integrating them into company processes.
- Drive the adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and streamline project management workflows.
- Ensure the professional development of project management staff through mentoring, coaching, and training initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication and alignment between all internal and external parties.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the senior management to support the overall objectives of the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Civil, Mechanical from a recognized university.
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer (Ir.) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership or General Manager role overseeing significant engineering projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering large-scale, complex engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Excellent command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (written & spoken). “We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.”
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (CMS) with a preference for certified professionals.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale property development projects.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with standards and regulatory requirements in property development.
