A machinery sales company in Butterworth seeks a Business Development/Sales professional to identify new business opportunities and maintain customer relationships in the heavy machinery sector. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and experience in sales, supported by strong technical knowledge of machinery products. Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
Identify new business opportunities through cold calls, visits, and referrals.
Promote relevant products (e.g., excavators, loaders & forklifts).
Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and follow through on the sales cycle.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
Understand client requirements and provide suitable product solutions.
Offer after-sales support and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date on product specifications, features, and updates.
Monitor market activity and competitor products to stay ahead.
Collaborate with principals and internal teams for product promotions.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in heavy/light machinery or industrial equipment.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets.
Ensure accurate and timely order processing, coordination, and delivery.
Liaise with technical, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
Support marketing campaigns and participate in sales meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive, or related fields.
Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1–3 years of experience.
Strong technical understanding of heavy machinery products and applications is added advantage
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Passionate about machinery or automotive sales.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office); knowledge of ERP/CRM is an advantage.
Possess own transport and willing to travel as needed.
