Job summary

Job Summary
  • Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care with competence and compassion, regardless of patients' health issues or backgrounds.
  • Consult with senior staff nurses to ensure safe nursing judgments and actions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage handover report from previous shift staff, assist with dietary requests, make and change bed linen, assist with bathing, sponging, changing clothing, feeding, personal hygiene, pressure area care, toiletry needs, and patient ambulation with registered nurse (RN) or physiotherapist.
  • Maintain close observations on restless patients, answer call bells, notify unusual patient conditions to team leader/nurse manager, and report any abnormalities.
  • Assist nurse with patient transfers, positioning during procedures, accompanying patients to other departments, handling medication and consumable items, and updating patient census on the inpatient white board.
  • Deliver equipment between departments, carry out cleaning activities and inventory checks, attend incoming calls, dispatch specimens to the lab, collect lab results, and send charge sheets to Business Office staff.
  • Attend in-house and external training programmes, participate in Emergency Response Codes activities, comply with company ethics and code of conduct, support service standards for customer experience, and undertake extended responsibilities under RN supervision.
