Overview

Our client is registered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and is the only compounding pharmacy in Malaysia that is a member of the Professional Compounding Chemist of Australia (PCCA). They specialise in custom made medications with the aim of fulfilling the unmet medical needs of patients who do not respond well to standardised products.

Responsibilities
  • To plan, coordinate & execute overall marketing strategies, advertising & promotion activities, events organizing, channels/partners programmes and developing corporate literatures.
  • Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Monitor KPI’s & review effectiveness of strategies from time to time.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities and ensuring all accounts are up to date in terms of payment.
  • Participate in ad-hoc marketing functions/projects as and when assigned.
  • Recruiting, training, managing and developing new sales & marketing associates.
  • Supervise the activities of sales & marketing associates and team in order to meet sales target, and ensuring the welfare of subordinates that their concerns are noted and addressed.
  • Provide monthly team and individual performance, spot work areas that require improvement and assist to plan and conduct periodic sales meetings.
  • To ensure disputes and discrepancies with customers are resolved immediately and provide assistance to sales department staff when necessary to ensure cordial relationships are maintained with the customers.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Sales / Marketing / Business / related discipline OR minimum of 10 years related experience in senior position in Sales & Marketing.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, or pharmaceutical will be an advantage.
  • Ideally someone with proven ability and experience managing and leading high performance sales and marketing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint.
  • Good verbal presentation, group dynamic and facilitation skills.
  • Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
