As part of its continued growth and transformation, our client is seeking a strategic Head of Procurement to lead and elevate its procurement function, ensuring alignment with global standards while driving operational excellence locally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all procurement and some supply chain functions across Malaysia, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with global standards.
• Develop sourcing strategies and manage regional procurement activities, including spot purchases and contractor performance.
• Support the execution of global contracts locally, ensuring compliance and consistency.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials, equipment, and services to operational teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across all supply chain disciplines, delivering high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with external institutions including government agencies, customs authorities, and trade associations.
• Supervise warehouse operations and inventory planning, including the identification and management of critical items.
• Build and nurture a high-performing procurement team through targeted talent attraction, development, and retention strategies.
• Act as a change agent, fostering cultural transformation and embracing diversity across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Business, Economics, or similar.
• Brings proven leadership experience in shaping and executing strategies across Procurement, Logistics, and broader Supply Chain functions.
• Has successfully led both corporate and operational teams, driving performance and alignment.
• Familiar with managing high-volume logistics and complex operational workflows.
• Exposure to multicultural and international work environments is an advantage, particularly where English is the primary language of communication.
