Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Process Engineering to lead and manage process engineering activities for major LNG and offshore oil and gas projects. The role involves providing leadership and technical direction to the process engineering team, overseeing EPC contractor deliverables, and ensuring the design and execution of topsides, pipelines, and surface facilities comply with project requirements.

The position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and the ability to guide projects from FEED through detailed design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide process engineering leadership and supervision of the process team
  • Manage EPC contractor performance to ensure process and flow assurance designs meet project requirements from contract award to provisional acceptance
  • Support Engineering Manager in monitoring contractor deliverables, including engineering studies, simulations, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Plan and schedule process engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution and technical alignment
  • Review and approve EPC contractor engineering outputs, basis of design documents, technical notes, and adequacy assessments
  • Conduct process engineering and flow assurance studies, calculations, and simulations to support project scope
  • Lead design workshops and ensure recommendations from lessons learned, value engineering, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and engineering criticality assessments are implemented
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, piping, and instrumentation engineers, to ensure integration and compliance
  • Contribute to the development and technical evaluation of EPC tender packages
  • Capture and communicate lessons learned from previous projects and contractors

Experience

  • Experience with international projects, working with Tier-1 EPC contractors or clients on large-scale offshore platforms, pipelines, and onshore facilities
  • Knowledge of project execution processes for large-scale projects (capital expenditure above US$1 billion)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interface management skills
  • Good time management and ability to perform independently
