Job summary

A pharmaceutical company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Head of Corporate Management. This role involves overseeing strategic financial management, office operations, and compliance activities. Job description

This position is a Head of Corporate Management position to be based in Semantan, Kuala Lumpur.

The employer is in the pharmaceutical industry and they are looking for a candidate who can support the following job tasks:

Strategic & Financial Management
  • Partner closely with the Managing Director on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business strategy.
  • Review and approve financial reports, month‑end closing, cost analysis, and cashflow summaries.
  • Provide direction to the Finance & Accounting Executive and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and corporate secretary.
Corporate Administration & Office Operations
  • Oversee the smooth running of day‑to‑day office operations, procurement, vendor management, and asset management.
  • Optimize administrative processes and implement improvements for efficiency and cost control.
  • Manage travel arrangements, office facilities, and corporate events with the HR support.
Supply Chain / Distributor Management
  • Lead coordination with distributors on demand forecasting, ordering, inventory control, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor stock status, expiry risks, and supply continuity, ensuring alignment with HQ or regional teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation, regulatory compliance, and adherence to pharmaceutical product handling requirements.
Compliance (Pharma Industry)
  • Oversee compliance programmes relating to interactions with HCPs, promotional activities, and internal SOPs.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant industry codes such as the Malaysian Code of Conduct for the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Conduct or coordinate compliance training for internal staff.
  • Maintain strong governance across all business support functions.
  • Oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
  • Work closely with the HR Executive to ensure alignment with company policies and labour regulations.
  • Strengthen company culture, engagement initiatives, and talent development programmes.
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Support
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Finance & Accounting Executive, HR Executive, and general admin staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement, policy refinement, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director on corporate governance and risk management.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Experience in admin, supply chain, HR operations, or compliance (pharma exposure is a strong advantage).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Language: English & Mandarin (communication with vendors).
  • Ability to manage multiple areas concurrently and work independently with sound judgment.
