Responsibilities
- Halal Certification Project Management: Lead and manage halal certification projects for company outlets, including the application and maintenance of Malaysia JAKIM Halal certification. Monitor and ensure outlets comply with halal standards, and organize regular internal audits and continuous improvements.
- Process Coordination & Documentation: Liaise with JAKIM Malaysia and relevant certification bodies to stay updated on the latest policies and procedures; guide and support outlets in preparing required documentation, records, and on-site inspections.
- Internal Training & Support: Provide halal certification standards training to relevant departments (e.g. Operations, Quality Control, Procurement); assist in establishing and maintaining the company’s internal halal management system.
- Market & Policy Research: Monitor halal certification market trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices; provide strategic recommendations and participate in the development of the company’s long-term halal certification roadmap and implementation plans.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Project Execution: Work closely with Product R&D, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure new products and new outlets meet halal requirements; manage multiple certification projects concurrently to ensure timely and compliant completion.
Job Requirements
- 1. Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Food Science, Food Engineering, or Halal Food Management. Educational requirements may be relaxed for candidates with JAKIM certification training or relevant qualifications.
- 2. Extensive experience in handling Halal compliance in food-related industries (tea beverage industry preferred), familiar with Malaysia’s JAKIM Halal certification application process, market trends, and best practices.
- 3. Strong English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate across departments. Proficiency in Chinese language will be an added advantage.
- 4. Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple Halal certification projects simultaneously.
- 5. Proficient in using office software and tools.
- 6. Strong team spirit, able to work closely with various departments and teams to achieve Halal certification objectives.
