Job summary

A medium-sized investment holding company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Group Finance Manager to develop financial strategies, oversee accounting functions, and manage a finance team. We are a medium size investment holding Company with business interest in the agricultural, consumer products, education, industrial technologies, property, telecommunication, travel and tourism sector. Currently, we are seeking talented professional candidate to join us.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to support the Group's goals and objectives
• Forecast, monitor and report on financial performance and identifying areas for improvement
• Assist the Board of Directors in planning, preparing, and monitoring strategic decisions
• Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with Group objectives
• Monitor and control expenses to meet budgetary requirements
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivables and general ledger
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual statements
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles and tax laws
• Coordinate with external parties to ensure the Group meets its statutory responsibilities
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs
• Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital
• Lead and mentor a team of finance team
• Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW) or equivalent; membership with MIA is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Group Finance Manager or senior finance role, preferably within a multi-entity or group structure.
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting, reporting and analysis
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams
• Exposure to business operations and management will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Good command of written and spoken English
