A leading finance organization in Malaysia is looking for a Group Finance Analyst to assist with key projects and provide essential financial support. This role involves significant collaboration with various teams, including FP&A and treasury, analysis of forecasts, reporting, and tax submissions. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a robust understanding of financial processes. Qualifications

  • Good analytical and data presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and professionally with senior staff.
  • Understanding of financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to suggest improvements to existing processes.
  • Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support FP&A team with analysis of forecasts and rollout of Power BI.
  • Assist in month-end close process and liaise with local team.
  • Facilitate year-end review of tax submissions.
  • Assist treasury team in cash forecast collection.
  • Support Group Finance on key projects and offshore activities.
  • Aid wider finance team on strategic initiatives.

Group Finance Analyst

Department: Finance - Group Finance

Employment Type: Permanent à temps plein

Location: Malaysia/Kuala Lumpur

Reporting To: Group Finance Director

Compensation: 6 000 RM - 9 000 RM / mois

Description

To assist the Group Finance team in delivering key projects and provide financial support (analysis and reporting)

Key Responsibilities
  • FP&A: support FP&A team with analysis of forecast, and the roll out of Power BI
  • Reporting: assist the reporting team in the month-end close process, including posting journals, liaising with local team to understand submissions and variance
  • Tax: facilitate in year-end review of tax submissions and assist tax projects
  • Treasury: assist the treasury team collecting cash forecast submission and analysing results
  • Projects: support Group Finance on key projects, including migration of activities offshore
  • Ad-hoc: support wider finance team on strategic initiatives

  • IBHQ Cost centre owners
  • IBHQ & Regional Finance teams
  • Sales teams for transfer pricing
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Good analytical and data presentation skills
  • English speaking, with the ability to communicate knowledgeably and professionally with senior operatives within the business
  • Reasonable understanding of financial management, financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting
  • A team player, they will highly self-motivated and organised, have a high attention to detail and be able to work under pressure in light of tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to pro-actively suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Strong Excel skills & Power BI an advantage
