STINIS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a GRINDING & MILLING SUPERINTENDENT to help design test our planned upcoming projects with creates dependable, hardworking products benefitting our company’s development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise grinding and milling teams across all shifts.
• Allocate manpower based on production priorities.
• Oversee daily shop floor operations for grinding and milling departments.
• Set clear performance targets for machinists and operators.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and challenges.
• Mentor and train junior operators in advanced machining practices.
• Maintain discipline and enforce workplace rules.
• Foster a safety-first and quality-focused work culture.
• Resolve staff conflicts and encourage collaboration.
• Approve leave schedules to ensure operational continuity.
• Plan grinding and milling production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate with engineering for job feasibility and manufacturability.
• Manage job orders, work instructions, and route sheets.
• Prioritize urgent customer orders and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Monitor WIP (Work In Progress) and prevent production bottlenecks.
• Work with procurement to ensure raw materials and tooling availability.
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
• Track production output and compare it against targets.
• Manage subcontracted machining and grinding work when needed.
• Ensure proper documentation for each production batch.
• Review first-piece inspection results for milling operations.
• Solve milling-related issues such as chatter, poor finish, or tool wear.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish meets customer requirements.
• Standardize milling parameters for repeat jobs.
• Supervise CNC and manual grinding operations.
• Approve grinding wheel selection based on part specifications.
• Ensure proper wheel dressing and balancing techniques.
• Monitor grinding operations for thermal control and accuracy.
• Authorize major machine overhauls or upgrades.
• Keep asset and maintenance records updated.
• Evaluate machine replacement vs. repair decisions.
• Ensure all machines meet safety and operational standards.
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs.
