Job description

As a coverage banker, you will serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of Malaysia-headquartered clients, consisting of Government-Linked and Local Corporates. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our high-energy, dynamic team dedicated to growing our footprint and delivering best-in‑class service to our clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Acquire and develop new client relationships while deepening existing ones. Independently manage a portfolio of clients, driving growth in JPMorgan’s revenue across a diverse range of products and services.
  • Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs and opportunities, leveraging JPMorgan’s full suite of corporate banking solutions - including financing, capital markets, risk management, payments, securities services and asset management.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for client portfolio, collaborating closely with product partners to execute cross‑sell strategies through origination and targeted marketing of JPMorgan’s products and services.
  • Lead and coordinate financing‑related work streams, ensuring seamless execution of transactions. Facilitate approvals from various internal committees and stakeholders as required.
  • Demonstrate strong risk‑management practices to safeguard JPMorgan’s reputation and clients. Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
  • Partner with colleagues across regions and functions to deliver integrated solutions to clients including cross‑border banking needs.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking and/or client coverage.
  • Extensive experience and in‑depth knowledge of credit and corporate finance products, risk‑management solutions and transaction banking.
  • Proven track record as a Client Relationship Manager, with the ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and develop networks both internally and externally.
  • Strong credit, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking or Debt Capital Markets would be preferred.
  • Post‑graduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, CPA/CA and CFA) would be an advantage.
