Job Summary

UCSI Schools is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join our team and teach across both primary and secondary levels. The ideal candidate will foster a deep appreciation for geographical concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and inspire a strong awareness of the environment and global issues among students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned Geography lessons for primary and secondary students.
  • Design lesson plans, instructional resources, and assessments in line with national curriculum standards (KSSR/KSSM).
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and academic support to encourage growth.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active participation, respect, and curiosity.
  • Integrate environmental awareness, spatial thinking, and cultural understanding into daily teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity in the Geography curriculum across grade levels.
  • Participate in school events, co-curricular programs, parent-teacher conferences, and other community or school-based activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices and trends in Geography education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at both primary and secondary levels.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to encourage critical thinking, spatial analysis, and appreciation for environmental issues and global interconnections.
