About the job General Manager, Operation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical preliminary feasibility and viability studies for projects.
  • Prepare technical concept papers, proposals, and presentation materials for project progress updates.
  • Evaluate technical progress plans and change proposals submitted by sub-contractors.
  • Collect information on related projects, assess and compile the data.
  • Determine required resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish, considering budget constraints.
  • Supervise and oversee contractors' work.
  • Assess progress and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and report any issues.
  • Plan all construction operations and schedules by collaborating with contractors, engineers, and architects to determine project specifications.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport with government officials, authorities, potential clients, and partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 - 15 years of experience in project management, building construction, contracts, and infrastructure works.
  • Team player who can work independently.
  • Proficient in computer skills and understanding of technical drawings (Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of Water Treatment Plants / Sewerage Treatment Plants or as a consultant from the water/wastewater sector is an added advantage.
