About our Client

Our client is a leading player in its industry, with a diverse portfolio spanning manufacturing, trading, and distribution. They are seeking a seasoned General Manager, Finance & Accounts to drive financial excellence and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts for audit, tax filing, and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and legal frameworks, including the Companies Act 2016 and Income Tax Act.
  • Review and approve annual budgets, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and ensure timely fulfillment of borrowing commitments.
  • Lead and guide the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
  • Conduct financial audits on contracts and manage the implementation of accounting systems.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications; MIA membership is essential.
  • 10-15 years of managerial experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of guidelines from authorities such as the Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in accounting standards, Companies Act 2016, and Income Tax Act.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive, independent, and capable of working under pressure with a commitment to on-time delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Public Listed Companies and merchant banks is required.
