General Manager / Deputy General Manager – Project (Johor Bahru)

It operates in multiple locations across Malaysia, including Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities
  • Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities.
  • Managing consultancy input within their scope and defined budget.
  • Working closely with Marketing & Sales users to ensure the properties development meet business needs requirements.
  • Identify suitable land prospects and submit feasibility studies for approval.
  • Set and continuously manage project expectations with team members and sub-contractors.
  • Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives, take tactical decisions to counter, protect and enhance the Company’s position.
  • Review and track progress against revenue and targets; analyse sales/revenue reports; recommend and propose changes to existing plans and operating budgets; implementing approved changes.
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during each project cycle.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones and track it.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project cycle.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, with a focus on large-scale development projects.
  • Ability to translate corporate strategy into a tangible project execution plan.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, budgeting, cost controls, and investment analysis.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial contracts and manage legal exposure.
  • Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse, senior‑level project teams.
  • Outstanding presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for engaging with executive leadership, clients, and regulators.
