Job summary

A technology solutions company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled individual to monitor customer application performance and investigate alerts. Responsibilities include conducting Level 1 and 2 investigations into CPU or memory overloads, application errors, and database query analyses. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in system administration or software development, along with a strong knowledge of Windows or Linux systems, databases, and web servers. This role offers opportunities to explore automation tools and produce monthly reports for clients.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in system administration or software development.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Windows or Linux systems.
• Basic / strong knowledge of databases (MSSQL, MySQL, DB2, Oracle DB).
• Basic / strong knowledge of web servers (IIS or Apache).
• Basic / strong knowledge of application coding (Java, dotNet).
• Comfortable with load testing tools such as Jmeter.
• Familiar with automation tools.

Job description

Monitor alerts on customer’s application performance using tools provided by company.

Provide Level 1 and 2 investigations into application related alerts. This consist of CPU or memory overload, application-related errors, or analysing into database query statement.

Provide recommendations to remediate alerts (increase resources, optimise database query statements, etc…).

Create monthly reports for customer.

Requirements

1-3 years experience in system administration or software development.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong knowledge into Windows or Linux systems.

Basic / strong knowledge on databases (MSSQL, MySQL, DB2, or Oracle DB).

Basic / strong knowledge on web servers (IIS or Apache).

Basic / strong knowledge on application coding (Java or dotNet).

Data and analysing tools will be provided using APM (application performance monitoring).

Familiar with load testing tools such as Jmeter.

Comfortable to explore new applications especially automation tools such as Ansible, N8N, and various AI-based products.
