A digital marketing agency in Malaysia is seeking a Freelance SEO Specialist to enhance clients' organic growth. You will manage on-page, technical, and content SEO tasks, conduct keyword research, and provide monthly reports. Ideal candidates are independent professionals with 1–5 years of SEO experience, adept in Google Search Console and other SEO tools. We are seeking a detail-oriented Freelance SEO Specialist to support our clients’ organic growth through effective on-page, technical, and content optimisation. You will work on keyword research, technical audits, content improvements, and monthly reporting to help improve search visibility and overall website performance.

Manage your own workflow and optimisation approach
Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis & content gap analysis
Execute on-page SEO: meta tags, header tags, internal linking, content optimisation
Perform technical SEO audits and propose/fix site issues (crawlability, indexing, speed, sitemap, robots)
Optimise website content and landing pages for ranking improvements
Monitor SEO KPIs (rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions)
Track and report performance via Google Search Console, GA4, and other SEO tools
Provide monthly SEO reports with insights, opportunities & action steps
Strong SEO fundamentals across on-page, off-page & technical SEO
Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable strategies
Resourcefulness and independence in solving ranking or indexing issues
Excellent attention to detail and structured optimisation approach
1–5 years experience in SEO (agency or freelance)
Strong proficiency in Google Search Console, GA4 & SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or equivalents)
Experience conducting SEO audits and implementing fixes
Solid understanding of keyword strategy and content optimisation
Ability to deliver monthly reports and actionable recommendations
Experience with WordPress, Shopify or custom CMS platforms
Familiarity with technical SEO tools
Experience collaborating with content writers or web developers
Knowledge of local SEO optimisation (Google Business Profile)
