A leading global company located in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager with over 10 years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will drive cost productivity and manage P&L reviews. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and knowledge of SAP is essential. Strong analytical skills and the ability to lead and motivate teams are critical for success in this role.
Responsible for site/customer level financial management, bridging and deep‑dive analysis.
Ownership for Customer P&L’s and financial profitability. Responsible for leading monthly site/customer level P&L reviews with business and operation teams and providing strategic and tactical direction & guidance.
Act as a finance business partner with business/operations to drive cost productivity improvement and profitable growth.
Responsible for cost‑productivity project reviews and saving validation, providing direction to the operations teams on which projects to focus and on project identification.
Quotation and repricing reviews, financial modeling and scenarios simulation.
Responsible for managing timely and efficient month/quarter/year‑end closing, costing and reporting, and driving process improvements.
Responsible for critical accounting processes, inventory management, costing, IFRS 15 revenue recognition, warranty and other accounting standards.
Perform monthly critical balance‑sheet reconciliations and reviews.
Weekly cost tracking and management.
Proactively coordinate with corporate and regional FP&A to ensure data transparency.
Ownership for innovation, thinking outside the box and driving process simplification and automation.
Provides leadership, coaching, and development to team members.
Other ad‑hoc projects & assignments.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA.
With 10+ years of relevant experience.
Must have worked in a manufacturing environment and have experience handling inventory.
Must have MNC experience.
Good understanding of integrated business applications such as SAP.
In‑depth knowledge and understanding of financial forecasting, costing and managerial accounting.
Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment and processes is good to have but not a must‑have.
Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem‑resolution skills.
Work proactively and provide recommendations.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Significant skills required in multi‑tasking and time management.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees.
MIA membership/CPA is a plus.
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
At least 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Experience in a multi‑national environment and culture is important.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
SAP is a plus.
Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment and processes is a bonus.
