Team Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis role

This role balances people leadership, process ownership, stakeholder partnership, and continuous improvement, while operating within established strategic direction and governance frameworks. The role thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing leadership duties with personal accountability for results.

This role requires strong leadership, a data-driven mindset, and a commitment to maintaining top‑tier quality and customer service.

The role requires independent judgment within defined policies and contributes to functional objectives rather than enterprise‑wide strategy.

Responsibilities
  • People Leadership & Team Effectiveness
    • Lead and manage a team of FP&A professionals (Analysts / Senior Analysts)
    • Identify, develop, and retain top talent within the team
    • Set clear performance expectations aligned with Genpact’s & Client’s combined goals and values
    • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, feedback, and development planning for the aligned team
    • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning
    • Promote inclusion, engagement, and collaboration within the team
  • FP&A Service Delivery & Process Ownership
    • Own delivery of end-to-end FP&A activities including budgeting, projections/ forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis
    • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and governance requirements
    • Review and ensure financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations adhere to client’s agreed standards and expectations
    • Maintain & ensure completeness of process documentation, SOPs, and internal controls compliance
    • Act as the first level of escalation for delivery, quality, or stakeholder issues
  • Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner & liaison with country & regional stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful information, support business partnering and foster a culture of collaborative execution
    • Ensure strong understanding of financial metrics, KPIs, and business drivers
    • Provide recommendations to support operational and financial decision‑making
    • Participate in regular service review meetings and governance forums as Delivery representative
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues within defined authority
    • Support senior leaders with insights & delivery support to identify and create plans for execution upon operational improvement opportunities
  • Continuous Improvement & Change Support
    • Identify opportunities for process standardization, efficiency, and automation
    • Lead small‑to‑medium continuous improvement initiatives
    • Support finance transformation, system enhancements, and process transitions
    • Demonstrate agility and adaptability in response to changing business needs
  • Decision‑Making Authority
    • Make operational and tactical decisions within established policies and procedures in partnership with the client organization
    • Identify & establish timely escalation framework for strategic, high‑risk, or cross‑functional decisions appropriately across Genpact & client organization
    • Influence outcomes through data‑driven insights and stakeholder collaboration
Qualifications & skillsets we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • 8–12 years of FP&A or related finance experience
  • 3+ years of people management or team lead experience
  • Experience in GBS, shared services, or multinational environments
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
  • MBA (Finance), CA, CPA, or CMA
  • Experience with SAP, ECC/ S/4 HANA, BPC and/ or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Exposure to BI, analytics, or automation tools (Power BI, Tableau, VBA)
  • Knowledge of internal controls, SOX, and compliance frameworks
