Job summary

A healthcare institution is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in food service operations. Responsibilities include meal assembly, delivering meals to patients, preparing food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness of working areas, and supporting various food and beverage activities within the hospital. Candidates with a minimum of an SPM certificate and those willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays are encouraged to apply. Experience in the hospital industry is a plus.

  • Experience in the hospital industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure meal assembly for all meals, snacks and late orders.
  • Deliver patient meals and snacks to patients' bedsides.
  • Prepare food & beverage for inpatient.
  • Collect soiled trays from patients after meals.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Clean working areas regularly and perform general cleaning as directed.
  • Operate and maintain food preparation equipment and utensils.
  • Check and fill up stock levels of food service items.
  • Assist in setting up in-house catering and provide waitressing service.
  • Support all hospital food and beverage activities as needed.

Job description

To ensure meal assembly for all meals, snacks and late orders.

To deliver patient meals and snacks including ala carte menu from Dietary Services to the patient's bedside.

To perform all food & beverage preparation for inpatient.

To collect soiled trays from patients upon completion of meals.

Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature/time logs as required, and maintains appropriate dating, labelling, and rotation of all food items.

To clean working areas regularly and perform weekly general cleaning as directed.

To operate and maintain good condition of all food preparation equipment and utensils.

To check and fill up the recommended stock level of all food service items regularly. Order for food stock from the dry store by using the Requisition Form, if needed.

To assist in setting up of in-house catering including VIP items and deliver to designated venues and provide waitressing service if necessary.

To support all hospital food and beverage activities as needed.

Job Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least SPM certificate

Willing to work on shift basis, weekends and Public Holiday

Candidate with working experience in hospital industry will be an added advantage
