Job Description

Your mission: Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world's first platform to offer true multi-currency banking. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our growing Operations Team.

Here's how you'll be contributing to the team

  • Lead 6 Team Leads and 60 Sanctions Agents
  • Coach, develop and performance manage the team to drive a high performance culture
  • Hiring new staff as you build out your team
  • Own demand and capacity planning for your team ensuring we have enough staff to support our customers
  • Manage service delivery ensuring your finger is always on the pulse with all queues and customers are not left waiting for responses
  • Take ownership of issues and incidents
  • Proactively monitor process controls to ensure consistent performance and investigate any irregularities
  • Maintain strong relationships with Product, Analytics, Engineering and Compliance
  • Become a subject matter expert for processes and tooling

Qualifications

About you

  • 3-5 years experience leading an Operations Team, preferably within Financial Crime
  • Great communicator both verbal and written
  • Experience setting targets and holding your team accountable to them
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and being a strong team player
  • Good understanding and ability to analyse, forecast and move the team's metrics
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a complex organisation across cultures, geographies, and disciplines
  • Project management and organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Travel flexibility as needed

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

  • Experience in Sanctions
  • Additional language skills in one or more jurisdictions where Wise operates
