Overview
Our client is a well-known regional luxury brand with a strong reputation for discipline, structure, and high standards, currently hiring a Finance Manager to lead finance operations in Kuala Lumpur.
This role covers end-to-end controllership, compliance, reporting, and governance — suited for someone confident taking ownership, building structure, and operating independently in a lean environment.
What You’ll Own
- Setting up and managing local banking facilities and payment workflows.
- Rolling out and maintaining the ERP / accounting platform.
- Managing payroll funding and cash flow planning requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with Malaysia statutory reporting, taxation, and audit standards.
- Upholding Group policies, finance procedures, and internal control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end finance operations across P2P (AP), O2C (AR), R2R (GL) and cash management.
- Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, ensuring accuracy and timelines are met.
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysia statutory reporting, tax filings (SST/WHT), and audit requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and finance SOPs to maintain governance and data integrity.
- Partner with stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and performance tracking.
- Provide meaningful variance analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Support intercompany billing / cost allocation / chargeback processes where applicable.
- Work closely with system/vendor partners on ERP and accounting system improvement.
- Support operational funding requirements, banking coordination, and payment workflows.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting / Finance (professional qualification is a plus).
- 10+ years of relevant finance experience with strong end-to-end exposure.
- Strong hands-on experience in full set accounting and finance operations.
- Exposure in a regional finance operations / shared services environment is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of Malaysia compliance: SST, WHT, statutory audit, and capital allowance basics.
- Systems exposure (SAP preferred) with a process improvement mindset.
- Independent, structured, and comfortable working with limited supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
