A trading and transport company located in Klang City is seeking a Finance Manager to establish the finance department, develop accounting workflows, and implement financial controls. Job description
  • 1. Establish and structure the Finance Department in phases.
  • 2. Develop accounting workflows, SOPs and approval processes for AR, AP, claims, procurement and payments.
  • 3. Implement financial controls to strengthen governance and prevent leakage.
  • 4. Train, supervise and develop Finance Executives once hired.
  • 5. Prepare and review monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • 6. Ensure timely month-end closing with accurate data consolidation.
  • 7. Provide variance analysis, financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • 8. Ensure accuracy of invoicing, credit notes and billing documentation.
  • 9. Monitor AR aging, collections and credit control processes.
  • 10. Improve collection performance and reduce overdue accounts.
  • 11. Review supplier invoices, payment proposals and cost entries.
  • 12. Ensure proper documentation matching before payments.
  • 13. Oversee staff claims, petty cash and expense reimbursement workflows.
  • 14. Manage daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting.
  • 15. Plan payments to optimize liquidity and operational continuity.
  • 16. Manage banking relationships and monitor facility usage.
  • 17. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements.
  • 18. Manage audit preparation and liaison with external auditors and tax agents.
  • 19. Ensure proper documentation for audit trails and financial reporting.
  • 20. Implement or enhance accounting systems.
  • 22. Improve efficiency through automation and standardized workflows.
  • 23. Provide financial insights to support business decisions and expansion plans.
  • 24. Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial models.
  • 25. Review department spending, cost analyses and profitability metrics.
  • 26. Support management with financial risk assessment and improvement initiatives.
