A healthcare provider in Iskandar Puteri is looking for a Financial Manager to oversee all financial management, budget preparation, and financial reporting within the Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance or accounting and proven experience in financial management, preferably in a healthcare setting. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, managing the finance team, and providing strategic financial advice to the CEO, while maintaining effective communication with all staff levels.

The Financial Manager will be responsible for the overall financial management of the Hospital. This is inclusive of formulation and implementation of financial strategies, and the implementation of budgeting and accounting services. In addition, the Financial Manager’s responsibilities include proactively identifying operational efficiencies/cost savings within the Division / Hospital, and integrating best practices in the financial, cost and management accounting systems.
Responsibilities then extend to leading and co‑ordinating all financial and performance reporting, while delivering expert advice along the way. By establishing coherent and accurate reporting and business analysis, the Financial Manager will formulate recommendations for financial and operational improvement across the business.
To ensure that the overall financial management is provided within the limit of financial authority lay down and is in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures and statutory legal requirements.
To undertake appropriate financial studies and other research as required.
To take overall responsibility for the management of staff working within the Finance Division of the Hospital.
To develop and maintain systems for recording and analyzing all items of income and expenditure and reporting these, as appropriate to the CEO, Division Heads and Heads of Department.
To ensure bank reconciliation, payroll information, sales invoices and proper credit control are effective at all times.
To design appropriate mechanisms for measuring and reporting results.
To assist departmental managers in the preparation of annual budgets and targets.
To prepare annual budgets for the approval of the CEO.
To prepare financial and statistical reports and make presentation of these to the CEO.
To make forecasts related to specific services or activity levels as required.
To keep under review the special training needs of staff.
To communicate effectively with all disciplines of staff and to develop and maintain close liaison with external agencies of importance e.g. Health Ministry and other private sector hospitals, Government Departments etc.
To ensure the Hospital observes all the relevant statutory, regulatory and other requirements.
To advise the CEO on all new developments in finance relating to healthcare.
To provide managerial supervision to all Head of Department / subordinates in the Finance Division, in their respective duties and responsibilities.
To undertake any other duties as required.
