We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial planning, reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management, corporate governance and be well-versed in Bursa Malaysia’s regulatory and reporting requirements. This role is critical in supporting strategic financial decisions, maintaining investor confidence and ensuring full regulatory compliance as a listed entity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with MFRS and statutory requirements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements to top management.
- Regulatory Compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, including continuous disclosure obligations, quarterly announcements, other announcements and annual reporting.
- Liaise with external auditor, company secretary, tax agent and regulators on financial disclosures and compliance matters.
- Support the preparation of announcements for Bursa Malaysia, including financial results, corporate exercises and material disclosures.
- Sustainability management and reporting.
- Develop and maintain sound internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and manage financial risks proactively, ensuring adequate risk mitigation strategies are in place.
- Investor Relations & Corporate Governance.
- Assist in preparing materials for analysts’ briefings, annual general meetings (AGMs) and investor presentations.
- Ensure transparency and accuracy in financial communication with shareholders and the investing public.
- Strategic Finance.
- Support capital raising initiatives, due diligence for corporate exercises (e.g., rights issue, private placement, dividend policy) and strategic planning.
- Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support executive decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA/ACCA/MIA membership is preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience in finance/accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a Bursa-listed company or audit firm handling listed clients.
- Strong knowledge of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, MFRS and Companies Act 2016.
- Proven experience in managing financial reporting, compliance and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Preferred: Experience in corporate finance, investor relations or IPO readiness.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting or sustainability disclosures under Bursa requirements.
