Job summary

A leading insurance company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a finance professional to assist with month-end and year-end closing preparations, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal reporting. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field, with a minimum of 1 year experience in the finance sector. Proficiency in MS Excel and fluency in English are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in finance with insurance companies preferred; fresh graduates are also considered.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing preparations.
  • Furnish reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform balance sheet and expenses items reconciliations.

  • To assist in data preparation of UAT results
  • To assist in data validation of UAT results
SunGL system
  • To assist in journal posting for ledger D
  • To assist in data validation of ledger D
  • To assist in journal posting of UAT data for SunGL upgrade
  • To assist in data validation of UAT results for SunGL upgrade
Ad‑hoc tasks
  • ISE related journals
  • Payments – Photocopy Machine and Record Management
  • Year end audit – supporting documentation
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking. Having professional qualification in ACCA will be added advantage
  • Minimum 1 year working experience with insurance company under Finance and is open towards fresh graduates
  • Excellent PC skills especially MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
