Job summary

A leading venture capital firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a candidate for their Financial Operations team. Responsibilities include maintaining financial documentation, preparing reports, and handling Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting and 1–4 years of experience, although fresh graduates are welcome. Proficiency in English is essential, with Mandarin as an advantage. This role offers an opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Maintain proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping of all finance-related materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial and management reports.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of balances.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, including invoice verification, processing, and posting.
  • Maintain the payable ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.

Stakeholder Support

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Support the team in responding to internal and external financial queries.
  • Work closely with other departments (HR, Legal, Operations, Investments) to ensure smooth financial processes and timely communication.

General Administration

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance function.
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior executives.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of working experience in finance/accounting is preferred; fresh graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic (or Good) understanding of accounting principles.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Ability to communicate in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, particularly for collaboration with GBA and ASEAN counterparts
