As a Finance Executive, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day tasks in the finance department. You’ll assist the Finance Supervisor in managing, processing and regulating various accounts and transactions as well as maintaining great financial records of Accounting Superhero.
Responsibilities:
- Key in receipts from clients for all companies (SG & MY)
- Prepare and send SOA for all clients (SG & MY)
- Follow up on clients payments (SG & MY)
- Prepare payment chaser letter to clients
- Ensure all invoices are approved and sent out timely and accurately
- Post all suppliers invoices in Xero
- Prepare payments to supplier via cheques, transfer and IBG
- Monitor and schedule all payment to vendors weekly, monthly, bi-annually, yearly
- Ensure all accounting transactions are posted accurately and timely in Xero
- Handle petty cash
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, cash flow statements and account reconciliation.
- Prepare cash flow forecast
- Prepare budget monthly and annually
- Maintain fixed assets register and all schedules for all assets and liabilities accounts
- Maintain referee commission referee schedules
- Liaising with auditors for internal accounts
- Prepare financial statements for SG accounts
- Handle GST accounting and computations as well as reporting to tax & other authorities
- Maintain Xero certification status throughout employment and participate in all in-house & external trainings
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics or other related fields.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent working knowledge in MS Excel (using spreadsheets and financial functions) and accounting software.
- Work experience as an Accounts Assistant or Executive in an accounting firm is advantageous
- Good understanding of data privacy standards.
- Familiarity with business principles and practices.
